HSC students encourage to ditch banking and choose disability

As Dubbo’s year 12 students prepare to finalise their big decisions about what to study at university and where to apply for jobs next year, people with disability are encouraging them to think outside the traditional career boxes.

Across the country, people with disability are visiting Australian high schools to talk to students about the growing opportunities in the disability sector as part of a program called projectABLE.

“Unlike in other industries where people are being replaced by robots, the disability sector is all about personal connections and offers jobs that you can bank on into the future,” Senior projeactABLE presenter Sarah Hirst said.
