Wellington Boot Ball

Lindy Whale and Pip Smith. Lindy Whale and Pip Smith.

Fifteen women in Wellington have begun preparations to bring back the Wellington Boot Ball. Once an annual event the ball has not been held for many years. Funds raised at the Boot Ball will stay in the Wellington community.

The hope is to start a community chest for local families and individuals. This could be used to assist families in special circumstances, such as the need to travel for medical treatment. The committee will assess any applications, and distribute funds accordingly.

Additional funds may go towards the employment of a part-time social worker for Wellington Information and Neighbourhood Services.

The WINS Social Worker has helped hundreds of Wellington people from all walks of life over the past four years.

Tickets are priced at $100, with tables of 10. This includes a three-course meal, entertainment, auctions and more!

You may purchase your tickets in three ways: by direct deposit, cheque, or call into the Wellington Information Neighbourhood Centre, Swift Street, Wellington.

The three-course meal will be provided and entertainment is by Gabe Music, from Orange.
