Family and friends of the late artist Mary Murray (nee Wheeler) met at the Western Plains Cultural Centre on Wednesday, April 20, to celebrate the talented artist and Archibald Prize finalist’s life, on what would have been her 84th birthday. Mary died on February 15 this year in Canberra. She was born in Dubbo, in 1938. Examples of Mary’s work were on display during the commemorative afternoon tea.
