Last month’s Duck Creek Picnic Races at Nyngan provided another generous contribution to Dubbo’s Macquarie Home Stay facility, donating $20,000 from its highly-anticipated race day on Saturday, July 4.

Managing Director Rod Crowfoot recently expressed his appreciation to the event organisers for a wonderful picnic race day of fun, good times, great horses and their trainers, and entertainment.

“Duck Creek is such a fun and vibrant day. We always have volunteers keen to come and support the committee on their big day to help make it a successful event and we are happy to help in this practical way, ” he said.

Over the years the Nyngan Duck Creek Picnic Races have been tremendously generous to Macquarie Home Stay, and this year was no different.

“Duck Creek Picnic Races have [developed] an association with Macquarie Home Stay because [we] appreciate the amazing services it provides,” Duck Creek president Rowen Cleaver explained.

“It is a much needed service for western NSW people and is extremely well run.

“We make our donations to charities that will best support western NSW people. We appreciate the volunteers' hard work and value their input,” he added.

Macquarie Home Stay has recognised Duck Creek Picnic Races’ support by naming a room in their honour. Unit 56 at the facility proudly features their name on the door, acknowledging the financial support the races have provided over the last few years.

”Because of Duck Creek, patients from across regional NSW have somewhere to call their home-away-from-home, not just for a night but for many years to come, and that’s something the committee and racegoers can be very proud of supporting,” Rod Crowfoot said.

“We appreciate the terrific partnership we’ve developed with Duck Creek, knowing the people from western NSW benefit from the event,” he added..

The very generous donation further helps Macquarie Home Stay support thousands of patients every year who require personal and family accommodation in Dubbo.
