An award-winning boundary-breaking dance celebration is coming to Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) this weekend.

The Dance Makers Collective’s (DMC) “All In” collaboration alongside local artists in the Orana aims to be an “uplifting, immersive experience celebrating the richness and power of dance as a community unifier”.

After premiering at Sydney Festival in 2025, "All In" has been adapted into a bespoke production for each location on its national tour, created alongside performers in each community.

Led by Director/Choreographer Miranda Wheen, the Dubbo Region production features performances from DMC, Nova Performing Arts, Anartana Studio multicultural dancers led by Farhana Sanjay, and local First Nations dancers. Dubbo College VET students will also assist with technical services.

“The [grassroots] collaborative model not only celebrates local talent but also strengthens community professional development, providing artists, students, and cultural practitioners with meaningful opportunities for mentorship and skill-building,” Performing Arts and Venues Coordinator Tiffany Rowland explained.

DMC visited Dubbo to recreate the show with local groups, host workshops, and interview members of the groups to incorporate their voices into the audio of the local production, DMC General Manager Carl Sciberras said.

“It has incredible performances by both touring and local dancers from a broad range of ages and dance forms, excellent music, and the chance for the audience to get on the dancefloor and experience the joy as well,” he added.

“What's so special about this work is the heart and generosity of the local community who play a crucial role in making it a truly unique experience.”

"All In" is on at 7.30pm, Friday and Saturday, August 21-22. Tickets are available from the DRTCC Box Office (6801 4378), or online at drtcc.com.au.
