A man is set to appear in court after allegedly pouring petrol on a man and woman inside a club in Peak Hill, southwest of Dubbo.

Police say that at around 5.40pm on Sunday, October 6, they responded to reports of an incident at a club on Caswell Street in Peak Hill. It is alleged a 28-year-old man entered the club, pouring petrol on the floor and over a 55-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman.

Both were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics and did not require treatment. The club was evacuated as a precaution.

Police further allege the man was chased from the club and then arrested shortly after on Mingelo Street. He was charged with multiple offences and refused bail at Dubbo Local Court today. He is scheduled to appear in Parkes Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday, October 8).
