Where do you work? I work at RFBI Masonic Village, Dubbo (residential aged care).

What’s your job? I’m a hospitality officer.

Why do you Love Your Work? I love working in aged care because I enjoy making a positive difference in people's lives. It's rewarding to support older people with their daily needs, help them maintain their independence, and provide companionship. Building trusting relationships with residents and seeing them smile or feel cared for gives me a real sense of purpose. I also enjoy being part of a team that treats people with dignity, respect, and compassion. I really like my job because my team is great, and I get the opportunity to do something for the aged community, and I love it because I am respected and valued.

What do you love about the Dubbo region? Dubbo is amazing. When I first came it felt a bit different but slowly I fell in love with this place. I can work, I can spend time with family, I can take time for community gatherings, and honestly, away from the city traffic, Dubbo is this beautiful place.

What does your weekend look like? On weekends, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I usually clean the house, do the grocery shopping, and relax by reading books. I also visit the Sikh temple to offer prayers and find peace and spiritual strength.

If you could travel back in time, when/where would you like to visit? If I could travel back in time, I would like to re-visit my childhood. It was a simple and happy time, full of family, friends, and wonderful memories.

Where would you like to visit in Australia? Australia is beautiful. I would love to go and see every place, but I would love to visit the Gold Coast because of its beautiful beaches and relaxing atmosphere.

What is the greatest advice you have received? The greatest advice I have received is that acceptance is a strength. Acceptance is the power. Accepting challenges, changes, and situations you cannot control gives you the power to move forward with peace and confidence.

Who inspires you? My inspiration is my religion, my faith, that says we are all equal and we are there for each other. My family inspires me; they motivate me to work hard, stay positive, and never give up. My parents inspire me because of their hard work, values, and dedication. The people I work with inspire me through their teamwork and commitment to caring for others. Everyone who works hard and treats others with kindness inspires me.
