Dubbo newsagent Peter Snare was recently recognised by the Dubbo Lions Club, who presented him with the prestigious Melvin Jones Award for his outstanding contribution to the Dubbo Community.

The Melvin Jones Award is the most prestigious award that Lions give to members of Lions or the community, in honour of the late Melvin Jones who was the founder of Lions International.

Peter’s father Joe was a member of the Dubbo Lions Club for many years and was a respected member of the local Dubbo community.

Peter has followed in his father’s footsteps, running the family's Talbragar St Newsagency and supporting the Dubbo community.
