Dubbo Photo News was recently given permission to show our readers some pictures taken by the Bush Brotherhood over 90 years ago.

The Brotherhood of the Good Shepherd was a society of clergy and laity of the Church of England (now Anglican Church of Australia).

The brotherhood was formed in 1902 for the purpose of ministering to the spiritual needs of those who lived in the bush districts of the Diocese of Bathurst. The parishes and peoples of Bourke, Brewarrina, Cobar, Tottenham, Nyngan and Gilgandra are featured in these photos.

The brothers were based in Dubbo and went out on various trips. We're planning to feature more photos of all these areas in the coming weeks.
