Motorists travelling on the Newell Highway at Tomingley are advised of changed traffic conditions from Monday, May 12, due to essential maintenance works.
Transport for NSW confirmed three kilometres of heavy patching would occur between Merilba Street and McNivens Lane. Work will take place from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and is expected to conclude by Friday, May 30, weather permitting.
During work hours, traffic will operate under single-lane closures and stop/go conditions, with speed reduced to 40km/h. A 60km/h speed limit will apply outside these hours.
Oversized and over mass (OSOM) vehicles should contact traffic controllers on UHF channel 11 for safe passage through the site.
Drivers are encouraged to plan their journeys around these works, adhere to traffic signs and directions, and allow an extra five minutes of travel time.
