Police have charged two men after three people were allegedly stabbed at Dubbo early Saturday morning.

"Emergency services were called to Talbragar Street just after 3am on May 31 following reports of an alleged stabbing," a police statement said.

"Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were told three men – two aged 29 and one aged 21 – were allegedly stabbed by two men.

"They were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Base Hospital in a stable condition," the statement continued.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

Police say they arrested a 27-year-old man on O’Donnell Street, Dubbo at about 10.40pm on Saturday, then a 23-year-old man was arrested about an hour later at a home on Alcheringa Street, Dubbo.

"They were taken to Dubbo Police Station where the older man was charged with three counts of reckless wounding – in company, affray, and use etc offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention," police said.

"The younger man was charged with three counts of reckless wounding – in company, and affray."

They were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday, June 1) via audio-visual link.
