Families visiting the paediatric ward at Dubbo Base Hospital will notice a colourful and uplifting change following the completion of a new beautification project designed to enhance the hospital environment for young patients.
Decorative film has been installed across the corridor windows, helping to soften the view of the busy hospital surroundings while creating a calmer, more welcoming atmosphere for children receiving care.
Staff say the artwork has already made a noticeable difference, offering sick kids a more peaceful space during their stay.
The project was completed by local business Sign Group, whose team carefully installed the vibrant designs, while the generous donation from Dubbo Motorfest made the improvements possible.
Hospital representatives expressed their gratitude to both organisations for their contribution to the wellbeing of young patients.
“This kind of community support truly helps us create a more comforting environment for children and their families,” a spokesperson said.
“We are incredibly grateful for the work done and the generosity shown.”
The beautification initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the paediatric ward and create a more positive experience for children during their time in hospital.
