Eleven-year-old Dubbo boy Hemish Solanki reached the summit of Mount Kosciuszko in difficult winter conditions earlier this month.

Completing the trek with his father, Saupriya Solanki, and two others, Hemish's journey was not just about reaching the top of Australia's highest mountain.

It is the story of a father and son supporting one another, overcoming challenges together, and creating lifetime memories.
