In the latest Dubbo City Bowls news, the Ladies Day Blues Meat Tuesday morning event was contested by 14 members.
Games comprised one triples event and two pairs games, with the winners coming from the pairs match of Gaye Cottee and Annette McMillan, who defeated Helen Emblem and Lourace Lawson.
In other games, Kerri Dickson, Therese Gaio, and Beryl Hobson defeated Chris Castlehouse, Judy Tighe, and Karen Greenhalgh, while Sue Armstrong and Anne Knaggs played a 12-12 draw with Sue O'dea and Judy O'Connor.
There were no resters, and the lucky draw winners were Karen Greenhalgh and Anne Knaggs.
Men's Wednesday morning social bowls sponsored by Robbie Cook Auto Electrical brought 33 men to contest five triples games, including a swinging lead, and one pairs game.
Winners for the day were Ron McCauley, Paul Wooldridge, and Mike Twohill who defeated Ron Anderson, Trevor Tink, and Doug Aldis, while Eric Bradshaw and Steve Buttsworth also defeated Leo Balstad and Nick Birbiles.
In other matches, Ken Whitiker, Dennis Jasprizza, and Ian Hobson defeated Gavin Cullen, John McKenzie, and Peter Sinclair, while Ron Wiegold, Roger Sherwin, and Greg Hough defeated Terry Duncan, Dennis Crimmins, and Col Cottee.
Dick Whitford, Frank Armstrong, and Peter Lesueur also defeated Barry Young, Todd O'dea, and Steve Kelly, while Allan Parker, Bryan O'Sullivan, and Neil Hayburn defeated Allan Parker, Peter Collins, and Brian Coffey.
The closest match ups were the wins by the Peter Lesueur and Greg Hough teams, while Todd O'dea was the only rester for the day. The jackpot was not won.
