In any field of human endeavour, it’s fantastic to have role models that we can aspire to.

In the popular dance sport of physical culture, National Ladies Champion Natalie Allan and Canberra teacher Helen Wilson are two such inspiring women.

Both of these champions have a long association with “Physie”. And Orana Physical Culture were fortunate in being graced with their support (and judging skills) at their annual club championships held recently.

The event saw the St Mary’s School hall packed almost to capacity as the various age groups and senior competitors performed the 2023 syllabus to a large audience of appreciative spectators, parents, and supporters.

Teachers Sophie Anderson, Kristy Hubbard, Sarah Campbell, Lauren O’Donnell, and Jaimee Shuttle also witnessed the results of three terms of selfless coaching shining through in the confident presentations and well-applied performances.

Club President Nick Hubbard offered his thanks to all of the dedicated members, their families, associates, the committee, and loyal supporters, who have worked together to create this wonderful, connected, community of support.

Corporate supporters the Regional Australia Bank, Transforce, the South Dubbo Tavern, and Peppercorn Child Care, were also thanked for their generous sponsorship.

The club now looks forward to competing at the Central West Zone Finals, where selection for regional representation at the National Finals, is the next step in the club’s calendar year.
