Saturday mixed bowls was played under warm and windless conditions on August 22, ensuring an excellent day for the 21 bowlers participating in the Robbie Cook Auto Electrical Triples and Pairs events. Winners for the afternoon were Annette McMillan and Peter Sinclair who defeated Dennis Crimmins and Mike Twohill while Terry Duncan and Peter Lesueur defeated Frank Armstrong and Beryl Hobson.

Barry Young, Steve Jarvis (visitor from Huskinson) and Greg Hough defeated Christine Sinclair, Gaye Cottee and Alex Rae while Adam Fardell, Michelle Harkin and Ian Hobson defeated Mark Morton, Howard Courts and Col Cottee. The last two games were only separated by one shot.

Jackpot was not won and there were no resters.

On Tuesday, August 18, Ladies Day, a good turnout of 14 ladies took to the greens in the Western Plains Windows and Glass Triples and Pairs game. Winners for the day were Jill Hawkins (visitor) and Annette McMillan who defeated Ruby Stockings and Karen Greenhalgh. (Annette still running hot after her win on Saturday).

Sue O'dea, Wanda King and Merrill O'Sullivan also defeated Mary Perry, Anne Knaggs and Therese Gaio while Kerri Dickson and Trish Gosper defeated Christine Sinclair and Judy O'Connor. Only one shot the difference in this game. Lucky draw winners were Anne Knaggs and Mary Perry. There were no resters on the day.

Wednesday morning Men's Social Bowls saw an extremely good turnout of 37 men to contest the LJ Hooker Narromine combined Triples and Pairs events.

Winners were Ken Whitiker, Bryan O'Sullivan and Steve Kelly who defeated Barry Young, Geoff Higgins and Ian Hobson while second place went to Leo Balstad, Eric Satchell and Greg Hough who defeated Leo Balstad, Paul "The Phantom" Goodstat and Robert Pfeiffer.

Equal second place went to Steve Buttsworth and Matt Quill who defeated Todd Odea and Col Cottee while Dick Whitford, Ross Pharo and Mike Twohill defeated Allan Parker, Greg Brown and Doug Aldis.

Ron McCauley, Dennis Jasprizza and Wayne Thompson defeated Gavin Cullen, John McKenzie and Frank Armstrong and Nick Birbiles and Norm Johnston defeated Mel Giddings and Phil Knight. Peter Knaggs , Eric Bradshaw and Doug Back also defeated Ian Richards, Pat Everingham and Peter Sinclair.

Closest game went to Ron McCauley, Dennis Jasprizza and Wayne Thompson. Resters for the morning were Col Cottee, Nick Birbiles and Peter Knaggs. Jackpot was not won and lives until next week.
