Sam Coe from Dunedoo Swans and Thomas Plater from Cobar Roosters have forced their way into the Western Rams Senior Men’s teams that are playing in the NSWRL Country Championships.
The two players earnt their positions in the team after solid performances in a trial game when an extended Western squad played against the Northern Tigers prior to the NRL trial game between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Manly Sea Eagles at Glen Willow Stadium in Mudgee.
The duo have joined Gulgong’s Chloe Patrick, Coolah’s Molly Burgess, and the Dunedoo duo of Shelley Cox and Chelsea Gallagher who all have gained Western Rams selection in 2026.
In further Castlereagh League news, the inaugural Castlereagh Community Cup kicked-off last weekend with games played in Walgett and Dunedoo
The full Castlereagh Community Cup draw starts on Saturday, March 28, and ends on Saturday, August 29 with the grand final.
