Dubbo Sportsworld hosted Round 11 of the Wheelchair Basketball Club League on Saturday, March 21.
The entry-level club league competition runs locally in regions across NSW and the ACT, and is all-abilities, meaning able-bodied people can participate alongside those who regularly use wheelchairs.
Teams from Dubbo, Wellington and Orange participated in the club league event last Saturday, the turnout pleasing organisers.
Spokesperson Zoe Artery said the all-abilities event was free for participants, funded by a grant through Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT.
"I run wheelchair basketball in Wellington and Dubbo, and invite anyone interested in being involved to get in touch," she told Dubbo Photo News.
Any local businesses that might like to support the local wheelchair basketball league with donations or sponsoring catering for participants should also contact Zoe via PCYC Dubbo.
