Reflect, respect and celebrate on Australia Day and capture the highlights of this year’s iconic day.

The National Australia Day Photographic Competition encourages all Australians to photograph the many ways in which we celebrate Australia Day.

Competition entries should reflect the past, present and future, show respect to each other’s stories, contributions, hopes and dreams or simply show a celebration of what it means to be an Australian citizen and to be part of the Australia Day celebrations. For more detailed information on the criteria for entering your image, visit the Australia Day Photographic Competition website at https://cms.australiaday.org.au/get-involved/photo-competition

All photographs must be taken on Australia Day and provided to competition organisers by March 31, 2023. Submission of entries will be online.

Three finalist from NSW will be chosen and receive $2000 for their winning entry. An overall national winner will receive a whopping $10,000.

All submitted photographs may be used to help promote Australia Day activities in the future.

One last important factor, if you do photograph a family member, friend or acquaintance you will need a photo consent form to be filled in prior to entering the photograph. Consent forms are also available online.
