Come on down to the Dubbo RSL on Sunday, November 12, for the opportunity to win some great prizes in the Christmas Toy Raffle.
Ten per cent of all funds raised will be donated to the Dubbo Base Hospital’s Children’s Ward. Dubbo Base Hospital’s Paediatric Nurse Unit Manager Rachel Edwards, and Ward Clerk Emily Clark, were excited to view the great range of toys in the raffle. Prizes on offer include an iPad, television, PlayStation, Switch, four bikes, Lego and lots more! There is over $10,000 worth of prizes in the raffle.
Rachel explained the funds raised will be used towards the purchase of a medical simulation mannequin. This mannequin will be used to simulate real life emergencies and illnesses to provide learning and teaching opportunities for medical staff. “This is a great resource for the hospital, and will be used throughout our training and professional development. We service the whole Western area, and see over 10,000 children in our Children’s Ward each year. It will make a big impact,” Rachel told Dubbo Photo News.
Raffle tickets are available now for pre-purchase from the RSL Reception. On the raffle day, tickets can be purchased from 11.30am until 1.30pm with prizes drawn from 1.30pm. The event will also offer Sand Art, face painting and a visit from Santa.
