It is also a little known fact, that the iconic Lions Christmas Cake was the legacy and brainchild of Wellington man, Cedric Wilson, who was a founding member of the Wellington Lions Club.

These cakes have raised 70,000,000 since 1965.

Colin Rouse, well known photographer, formally from Dubbo but a Wello local for 11 years, has purchased the cake every year for 45 years. His father, Ron Rouse, was a prominent, long serving Lion in Dubbo.
